Obituary

Passed peacefully away in the presence of family on the afternoon of June 14, 2019, at St. Clare’s Hospital after a lengthy illness, Lillian Elizabeth Bemister (nee Jeans), aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband of 66 years Gordon (2014), infant son Gordon Jr. (1958), parents Walter and Elizabeth (nee Cullimore) and all her siblings: Allan, William, Walter, Martha, Mary, Anita, John and David. Leaving to mourn her children Donald (Rosemary, & grandson Theodore, of Ontario), Christine and Paul of St. John’s, sister-in-law Olga Barnes of Catalina, and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Lillian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Committal service will be held at a future date. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Farrell and the Nursing Staff of 7 West at St. Clare’s. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lung Association or the Alzheimer’s Society. On behalf of Christine and Eric Bemister we like to wish my cousins our deepest condolences on the passing of aunt Lillian. I had some found memories.growing up in St johns.
