Obituary

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one
I’d like to leave a glow of smiles now my life is done
I’d like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways
Of happy times
And laughing times
Of bright and sunny days
I’d like the tears of those who grieve
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
Now my life is done.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend Andrew Meyers.  Andrew passed peacefully away at home in Fort MacMurray AB. He is predeceased by his brother Kenny Meyers, Uncle Raymond and Aunt Carolanne Meyers, Uncle Derrick Meyers, Grandmother Marjorie Fudge, and grandfather William Meyers. Leaving to mourn his mother Tina Fudge (Scott), father Kenneth (Juanita), son Ethan Puddicombe-Meyers, sisters Nichole (Perry) and Chantille (Adam), brother Keith (Kristy), grandfather Bryce Fudge (Edna), grandmother Caroline Meyers, beloved nieces Emily Squires and Ava Harding, special friends Stephen Lush, Ted Pearce and Pat Bennett, as well as a large circle of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and cherished friends in Newfoundland, Alberta and abroad.

Andrew was 29 years young and full of life. Whether it was skydiving with his mom or staying home watching cartoons, he loved it all. He loved going to the gym and looking good. He was funny and charismatic. A man with a big heart. His love had an impact on many people.  A kind hearted soul gone way too soon. Rest easy.

You may not remember me but Andrew and I were good friends when we were younger.
This is Ian Farrell. I want to give my condolences!!!
Instead of saying is there anything I can do…there really isn’t but there is the power of Jesus. I don’t know your beliefs and I’m not trying to push Jesus on you….all I know is that you will be in my prayers in the this difficult time.

I prayed for God to open a door and the courage to go through…here I am. Please don’t take this wrong…I’m only acting on the open door. Put trust in Jesus.

Sincerely Ian Farrell

To Nichole, Chantille, Keith, and his Mom Tina, his Son Ethan,
My heart breaks for you. Andrew was an amazing person, so full of life and joy. I remember meeting him for the first time by your old house on Crosbie, he introduced himself and though I didn’t know it then, I had a friend a true friend for life. We didn’t get to hang out very much but always considered Andrew a great buddy, to talk to, hang out with. Every time I talked to him, he always would speak of how much he loved and adored Ethan. I could tell he was his pride and joy. I am certainly going to miss you buddy. My prayers go to all of Andrews family. May you find peace in this sad time.
