Lorraine and Family:

Words are inadequate to express the loss we feel to lose our neighbour and friend of many years, who was just across the street. Your Mom was always such a gracious lady whom I enjoyed many cups of tea with and a chat. Her family was mostly all the conversation and the grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joys of her life. We will miss seeing her perched in her chair on the front deck, that your so lovingly placed there for her, on warm and sunny days; our loss is heaven’s gain. She left a wonderful legacy to all her family and that will sustain you in the days ahead. Please be assured of our love and prayers during these very difficult days. God bless you all!
Love, Les & Dolly

Prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time

We little knew when we woke that morning,
the sorrow the day would bring,
The call was sudden, the shock severe,
to part with one we loved so dear.
She left us quickly, her thoughts unknown.
But left us a memory we are proud to own.
So treasure her Lord in your garden of rest.
For when on earth, she was one of the best.
May the Lord grant her eternal peace.

Dear Don, Lorraine, Roy, Elizabeth and families,

We both were so sorry to hear of your mother’s illness and subsequent death yesterday, especially at a time when visiting. and sharing is impossible

Many of us in the extended Vokey family have very fond memories of “Aunt Nita” and her gentle, but humorous, ways. She surely loved life and loved people. We know how she loved and took pride in all of you.

Mom especially remembers the good times on Bell Island, as those of us of a certain vintage also easily recall. We will remember Aunt Nita with love.

May memories of many wonderful and happy times together help ease your grief in these difficult days.

With loving and heartfelt sympathy,
Dorothy Vokey and Marilyn Flower
