Sincere condolences to Carmel’s family at this sad, sad time. We remember her brother Joe and I remember Bernard and sister Mary. Such a tragic time for the families to lose two siblings so close together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

So sad to hear of Carmel’s passing. Have such fond and happy memories of Carmel and Ted from the 60’s . My thoughts and prayers are with you as you travel through this very difficult time. RIP Carmel.

Carmels laugh, larger than life personality and caring intuitive way will be what I remember most. So many fond memories especially the way they opened up their home to my ‘come from away’ friends just a couple of years ago. No hesitation whatsoever just a feeling of welcoming. You will be deeply missed and always remembered. To Ted and family…sending live and hugs from across the miles and I wish I was there. RIP Carmel.

Ted & Family and the Farrell Family.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Carmel;s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad and difficult time.
There are no words that can be said that can ease the sorry you all feel at this time but remember God will give you the strength to carry on the way that Carmel would want you to.
May her soul rest in peace.

Ted & Family and to the Farrell Family.

So saddened by Carmel’s passing, most of my memories of her were from our school days, but I always kept tabs on her, knowing her where a bouts, it was easy she was married to Ted and I had a sister married to Ted’s brother.

Carmel was such a caring and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend
This dreadful disease which took her from you has got to be stopped, it has taken too many of our loved ones.

May God give you all the strength and courage to face the difficult days ahead and always remember your times together. Memories will get you through, treasure them and she will continue to live in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you. RIP Carmel. God Bless

Ted & Family, support and friendship in the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. I cherished Carmel’s friendship, she was a beautiful friend who will always be in my heart and prayers. She was a loving kind gentle soul who touched many. May she rest in the peace that she so deserves. God Bless.

Dear Pittman family, I was so sorry to hear of Carmel’s passing. I got to know Carmel through volunteering, & I so enjoyed the time I spent in Carmel’s company. May good memories, bring you great comfort. Sincerely, Theresa

Carmel sat relaxed as she recalled in prayer the names of her departed childhood neighbours. Shortly afterwards, she told me how proud she was to have played , “a very small part,” in the successful reunion celebrations. That was the last time I spoke to my cousin. Short years before, however, she was a frequent visitor at “Aunt Kitty’s apartment” where the guffaws and unrestrained laughter reflected her sense of humour and wonder. Carmel’s total commitment, though, was to her husband, Ted, their three children and three grandchildren. May their lives continue to be enriched by Carmel’s legacy of love while she rests in peace. Fondly remembered by Marie

I am so glad that I spent time with Carm back in October. Together, we had a ball! I will never forget her. She was such a very special person.

My thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

I am so sorry the hear of Carmel’s passing. She was younger than me when we lived in Bar Haven but I met her again a few years ago during a Prostate Cancer Run registration in St. John’s. Had a grand chat with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless

Dear Ted and Family
So sad, so much too early, our condolences.
Carmel was so down to earth, such a funny story teller, a tough outspoken roughneck, epitomised the Goofy Newfy spirit in such a warm and endearing way and a good friend. Just so sorry we were not able to see her in recent years.

Dear Ted and family:

Carolyn and I are so saddened to hear that Carmel has passed. Her warm smile brightened every room she entered. We only hope that the wonderful memories you have of your lives together will help you through this most difficult time.

To the Farrell and Pittman Families,
My condolences on the sad loss of Carmel. Although it’s been a while since I’ve seen her, I remember Carmel as a fun-filled, smiling person. I know that you’ve suffered loss twice this month and my heart goes out to you all in your sadness. Wishing you all peace and comfort as you again say good bye to a loved one.
Sincerely,
Janice Harte

So saddend to hear the news. Carmel always welcomed me into her home or simply her presence with that amazing smile. Her lovely cheese and our conversations about it. It’s funny what makes you remember a person, and many things there are but I will never forget that laugh or smile. My love to all of you and may her full life filled with happiness and memories warm your hearts for years and generations to come. I know she has warmed mine. ❤️

To Ted, Kim, Josie and Paddy
We lost an angel and we were as rich for her being as we are poor for her loss. My heart is broken but there is much joy tonight in that far greater bay.
