Preston, Peter, Jeff and Karen and Families:

I am writing from Robertson Library, UPEI to express my condolences on Winnie’s passing. I appreciated her humour and remember her laugh when we worked together here at UPEI. I hope you are all comforted by many happy memories of your wife, mother and grandmother at this sad time. I know Winnie was fond of her home province and we chatted about people like her cousin Nancy Riche, who I knew from labour circles and I was able to say hello to each of them from each other by times. My thoughts are with you and I know how proud she was of her family and liked to talk about your accomplishments.

I have many fond memories of spending time with Aunt Winnie, Uncle Preston, along with Peter, Jeff, and Karen while growing up on PEI. She was always in good cheer and I will always remember her infectious laugh. Our condolences to the entire family.

Dear Uncle Preston, Peter, Jeff and Karen, You are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Auntie Winnie will be very much missed. I have a lot of happy memories. Take care Linda and Brian

Winnie was the best friend a person could ever have and over the years we had so many laughs and good times, both at work and play. The Christmas parties in the Barn were one of the most memorable.

I am so sorry to hear of Winnie’s passing. I have fond memories of working with her at Robertson Library where her kind, down to earth and warm nature were loved by all. Her humour and laugh were infectious and her stories about growing up in Newfoundland heartwarming and sometimes hilarious. In particular I remember her talking about her mother’s flipper pie, which I thought sounded disgusting, but according to her was delicious! Heartfelt condolences to Preston, Jeff, Peter, Karen and your families.
