Lydon, Glenys and all – I am deeply sorry for your terrible loss. Dawna was a terrific person who will be much missed by everyone who knew her. She was lively, kind and had a great sense of humour. Her laughter was infectious. Her care for her animals and the living world speak volumes about her goodness. The world is a poorer place without her. Wishing you strength and courage.

We were not the kind of friends who maintained close contact, but we were the kind of friends who could go months without seeing each other and then pick up the thread, no the cord, no the substantial rope of the relationship. I will miss her.

So sad to hear of Dawna’s passing, we had many a conversation at Clovelly where she kept her horse. She will be certainly missed by everyone who knew her at the stables, and I will certainly miss her hearty laugh and the times we have shared at Clovelly over the past few years. My family’s thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

Dawna was one of the loveliest ladies I ever met, with a happy personality and a laugh that would light up any room.

Over the years Dawna became a very dear friend of mine.

She will be very sadly missed.

Lydon, I am so sorry for the terrible losses you have suffered at such a young age.

Your mother had confidence in you and I know you will continue to move forward in your education and become the man your mom knew you would be.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and if there is anything I can do to help you I am here for you.

Carol Kinsey

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and extend my sympathies. I found the notice here while searching to make contact. I met Jim at my sister’s Karen’s wedding to Phil Roberts whio had been on Jim’s crew on the America. Dawna became a real friend and took me sailing the only time I had actually sailed my tandem kayak that had a sailing rig. A year or few ago, she contacted me about visiting which I welcomed, but that was the last I heard. I was searching for her in hopes of a visit, here or there, but will have to find her closer in my heart, as I certainly can. I’m sure we will keep here there, and that sooner than later, this will ease the sorow of you loss.
