Obituary

Passed peacefully at home at the age of 90. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Annie (nee Keats) Squires, wife Dorothy (nee Smith), brothers Lloyd, Edward (Betty), and infant brother Harold; step-father Captain Jesse Howell, and step-siblings Roland (Betty), Sigmund (Vivian) and Kathleen (Robert).
Leaving to mourn his twelve children: Richard (Thea), Dorothy (Larry Fraser), Ruth (Frank Martin, deceased), Jim (Gail), David (Jessica), Bob (Lise), Margaret, Donna, Debbie (Keith Parsons), Faye, Paul (Marina), Joan (David Cook); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Viola Newman (Ted, deceased), Richard (Liz), Charles (Joan), and sister-in-law Marie. Dad will be remembered by a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, January 30th from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Thursday, January 31st at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery, St. Philip’s. Memorial donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Endowment Fund.
