Obituary
Passed away peacefully, 91 years of age, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, May 13th, being predeceased by her husband Bertram, as well as, sons-in-law Doug Rex and Gerald Dawe. Leaving with loving memories, daughters Marilyn Rex and Beverley Dawe; son Milton (Christine); grandchildren: Douglas Rex Jr. (Emily), Gregory Rex (Kendra), Brian Rex (Burdine), Leann Newman (Tom), Chris Newman (Greg), Danielle Lynch (Michael), Adam Newman, Nadine Newman, Renee Pelley (Trent), Heather Tobin (Blair), Andrew Dawe (Stephanie) and her 23 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by special friend Bernice Layden (Larry) and their children Melanie, Krista and Aaron as well as her loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
We would like to thank the staff of St Clare’s Mercy Hospital, 6 East and 7 East for their care and compassion. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Karwood Retirement Home where she happily resided for the last two years. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 17th. Funeral service to take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Parish of St. Michael’s and All Angels Church.
