I knew Felix about fifty years ago when I was a young teenager and a volunteer at Exon House. We hit it off immediately. First thing I learned was NO chocolate for Felix and that he loved cheezies! He would laugh so much when after having helped him eat some, I’d complain about my orange fingers. I have thought of Felix often through the years. Rest in Peace

Felix,
You are sunshine. With your smiles, and your tricks, and your awesome Madonna karaoke. It is a rare and beautiful thing to have made such a meaningful impact on so many people. This world was a happier, “meow-ier” place with you here. Give my love to Dougie and the cats when you head upstairs to meet the “Big Guy”. I have a feeling he’ll be thrilled with you.

Deepest condolences and prayers to the Martin family and all Felix’s special friends.

So long for now Felix..that’s how I feel..Since we met in 1989 on my inaugural trip to the infamous Max Simms Camp, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting you and Dougie and henceforth learning to see beyond the physical into the spiritual and the happiest minds of two young men who are now reunited and free to fly on their angel’s wings!
Over the years our paths would meet, and we could pick up conversations as if they happened yesterday. A gregarious personality and yes, that smile!

So sad to read of the passing of
Felix. We had many chats and sang many songs in the foyer at Pleasantview Towers when my dad was a resident there. I baked him lots of cookies (Peanut Butter or Oatmeal Raisin- no Chocolate).and he was sure to tell me when he needed more. 🙂 He was really fond of my dad (Gordon Breen) and dad was fond of him. Now they’ll meet again.

I was privileged to have met Felix 25 years ago when I started work at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex and over the years I learned many valuable lessons from him about what is important in life. He lived each day to the fullest and made countless friends along the way. His infectious smile and laughter will never be forgotten.
Felix, I hope wherever you are you are singing your heart out and dancing your feet off, with Dougie by your side.
