Obituary

Passed peacefully away on April 18, 2017 at Agnes Pratt nursing home, Gladys Rita Retieff, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her parents Alfreda and Abel Elliott of Beaverton, Norte Dame Bay; and her first husband William Walsh. Leaving behind with loving memories her second husband of 30 years Leonard Retieff; stepchildren Rene Retieff (Tim O’Leary) and Charles Retieff; her sister Inez Harris (Norman); special friends Phyllis Galgay and June and Harrison Thomas; also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff of Agnes Pratt Nursing Home for their care and compassion shown towards Gladys. Also a special thank you to her roommate, Miss Sophie and Family, who treated Gladys like one of their own. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday April 21 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral Service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday April 22 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Forest Road Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gladys memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
