Our hearts are broken at the sudden passing of the gentlest and kindest husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Predeceased by his parents Clifton and Emma Martin and brother, Derek. Leaving to mourn his wife of 61 years Sadie (Follett); daughters Michelle (Derek Winsor), Wendy (Harry Clements), grandchildren Kurt (Suzanne), Becky (John Slauenwhite), and Erin, and great-grandchildren Jonathan, Andrew, and Cole. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Bill (Lorna), Valerie (Winston Skeffington), Linda (Roy Symonds, Jocelyn (Jack Wood), Wayne (Sharon) Randy (Donna), and sisters-in-law, Barbara Martin, Cynthia (Don Whalen), Sylvia Follett (Garry Ivany), cousin Helen Carberry, many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends.

Graham had a 30-year career at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary and retired as Assistant Superintendent in 1991. He played senior hockey with the Feildians and recreational old timers’ hockey and he was always ready to grab his guitar for a sing-a-long with family and friends. He was a jack of all trades, and enjoyed spending his time in Western Bay working around the house and in his garden. Graham’s greatest joy in life was his family. His immense pride for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was written all over his face in any and all interactions with them. He could be foolish and fun but also quiet and reflective. He loved and supported us, and we will always be grateful for the many lessons he taught us. We wish we could have kept him with us longer and we will miss him everyday.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road Wednesday July 7th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A service celebrating his life will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person with the link available above

No flowers by request. Donations in Graham’s memory may be made to The Autism Society or a charity of one’s choice.
