Some many great memories of Gwen and Fred. The friendliest people you could ever meet and so many good laughs no matter what the situation. As a newcomer to PWC in 1978 Gwen became a wonderful friend to me on Gambier st and the best hockey Mom. I will never let the memories go. God bless the whole family.

I am so sorry of hearing of the passing of your mom, so many fond memories of my days growing up on Gambier Street, I can still hearing her ” David you Rob get out of doors”, RIP.

To the Noble’s

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Noble’s passing. I think of all the time we spent around your house, especially street hockey in front of your driveway and many days, your mom saying hello to us as she walked to the grocery store. That was the best part of Gambier Street. I will always cherish those great times.

Best regards,
Steve Hillyard

Yvette, Greg, Kerry, Derek, David, Tracey, and Lori

I was saddened to hear of your Mother’s passing. My connection with your family, and particularly your Mom, goes back 55 years. Shortly after moving to St. John’s, I meant your Mom through her neighbours, the Winsor’s.

Your Mom “kept me fed” for many years while I was living on my own. She was a great cook, a valued confidante, and someone I could always depend on. Your house was a place where I always felt welcome.

I babysat most, if not all, of you! You are all in my thoughts at this difficult time. Brian joins me in extending to you our deepest sympathies.

The Noble Family: So saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing. When I returned to live in St. John’s in 1989 and joined the Air Cadet League NL Prov. Committee she was one of the first friends that I made along with the late Margaret Walsh. Many memories were made with them and others travelling to SAMs and AGMs outside the city. One in particular was with the three of us travelling back from an ACR in Carbonear on a very FOGGY evening that took us almost four hours drive. She stated that she had worn the toes off her shoes from kneeling and praying we would get home safe as my car was white and we were afraid to stop on side of road because we could not be seen by any cars coming. Keep your memories of her alive for your families and she will always be with you all. She loved you very much and is now a Guardian Angel watching over all. RIP Gwen my friend..
