Obituary

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after a short illness in the presence of his family, Henry Charles King in his 100th year. Predeceased by his parents Naomi and Joseph King; brothers Eleazar (Gertie), and Mark; and sisters Clara, Edna, Mary Ann, Julia, and Bernice. Leaving to mourn niece Barbara (Melvin Hibbs), and their daughters Megan (Matt Noseworthy), Stacy (Matt Everson) with whom he resided; sisters Barbara Moss and Millicent Manning; brother Bernard King; Niece Patsy (Ralph Gosse); Nephews Garry (Paulette), and Lees (Connie); his furry friends Cooper, Aries, and Sally; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Henry was also a long time member of the S.U.F Lodge # 5. Resting at Carnell’s funeral home, 329 Freshwater Road. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 from 7 – 9 p.m., and Thursday, 12 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday in the Bauline United Church at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow in the Bauline United Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Henry’s memory may be made to Bauline United Church Lighting Fund

Through the many years we have know Henry he always came through as a great man, he would walk for miles to help others, he would listen to people to help them, there was times in our lives when he went to work with nothing to eat, just to give his lunch to others, just to help. he also was my mothers best friend for many years, he will be sadly miss by all, May you rest in peace you jack rabbit.

Barbara, Melvin and your family. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Henry. I certainly have fond memories. I know there will be an empty place in your hearts, but I hope that all the happy memories you have will soon fill that space. May he rest in peace

Henry Charles king,was the most kindest,genorous,gentleman I ever had the pleasure to know,known to me as,uncle Henry.the man that taught me how to fish & hunt,and respect the bounty of wildlife.single handedly made me the safe and responsible outdoorsman. I am to this day,so many wonderful memories.today I have a very heavy heart.henry will never be forgotten.my thoughts and prayers are with the family.uncle Henry,safe travels,may you find your place in heaven,will miss you forever.

I was saddened to hear from mom that Henry had passed. I knew Henry through my Grandmother and his friend Peggy Durdle. He was from what i understand her life long friend and was always at nans ever since I could remember right up until her passing . I would like to express my sincere condolences as well as prayers to his family at this time. May he rest in Peace.

We have missed Henry greatly at our S.U.F. Lodge meetings since he hasn’t been able to attend in the past year. My sincere condolences to his family on hearing of his passing. May God be with you all at this time and always. May his soul rest in peace.

Henry was a wonderful man , often wondered how he was doing after Peggys passing .
