Lorna (Tubman) Farewell

Ruby,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad, and I am also very heartsick that I am so far away and cannot be there with you for the wake and funeral due to the out of province quarantine rules.
I am however very grateful that I got to see Uncle Herb when I was home last March, and that he got to meet my new husband, Ben, when we came home the February before that. ( I think Ben was the only taker of the 11am whisky Uncle Herb offered).
I have so many memories of him (and your Mom) that are intertwined with my entire childhood/life. Memories out in Small Point, on Grenfull, at Poppy;s on Terra Nova, at our home in CBS, and he is always smiling in them, and always has that mischief lurking around his eyes, just waiting to break through.
So much love and light from the West, Ruby.
Love
Kimberley Moores (Inder)

Ruby, Your Dad was so supportive of us during our early years in business, and throughout his later years with McNamara. He was a ‘no nonsense’ man to deal with, but more loyal than any other customer we have every dealt with. Our staff affectionately know him as “Herb Honey” because he called everyone ” Honey” when he called our office. During my Christmas visits (and drink) with him, he would always ask about our staff and family.
I will truly miss him this Christmas and forever. Stay strong and take care !
