Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, in the presence of her loving family, Hilda Doody age 80, formerly of Dunville. Predeceased by her husband Alphonsus, grandaughter Candice, parents Harry and Bride Patterson, sister Mary and brother Tom. Leaving to mourn much loved daughters Dolores (Rick), Beverley (Larry), Elaine (James), Rose (Chris), Sharon (Mike) and son David (Lisa); grandchildren Danielle, Kerry, Chantelle (Matt), Neil (Shelley), Bradley, Cortney, Matthew, Crystal (Jordan), Devin, and three precious great grandchildren Keegan, Heidi and Hailey. Also leaving to mourn her brothers Charlie, George, Harry, David and Jim; sisters Bridget, Kay and Barb, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy home for the kindness and care shown to our Mother and also to Dr. O’Shea . We would also like to thank Joe Finn for all of his blessings upon our mother. The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, January 16th, 2017 from 2PM – 8PM. A private family service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation or Lupus Newfoundland and Labrador.
