Obituary

Passed peacefully away at home on May 1st, 2017, Howard Gordon Squires (Humphries), aged 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Chesley and Edith Squires. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 53 years, Lillian; sons Todd (Anita), Rod (Pam), and Neil; grandchildren Jamie-Lee, Jasmine, Blair, Jayda, and Kara; brothers Bruce and Garles; sister Augusta (Gerry); special friends Barry Tucker and Doreen Squires, as well as nieces, nephews, and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 5th, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m, and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 2 p.m, at St. Philip’s Anglican church, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donation’s in Howard’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The Squires Family. I played softball with Howard for many years many years ago! He was always such a sweet, encouraging and funny man. I have a lot of fond memories of him. My condolences on his passing. May he rest in peace.

Our sincere sympathy and condolences in the loss of your loved one, Howard. We have many fond memories of Howard and Lill, especially in our school days, and growing up in St. Philip’s. We shared many a game of bowling and shared lots of laughter and fun. It was good times. And now, Howard has been called to his eternal home in the safe and loving arms of Christ Jesus, our Lord. “May his rest be in peace, and his dwelling place be in the Paradise of God.” Amen. +
