To all of Joan Bishop’s Family:

Mrs. Bishop was truly an angel.

We became friends after meeting her at Trapnell’s Jewellery Store in 1962 and always went to her when we needed service there over the years. She took a special interest in everyone.

Rest in peace dear one.

To the Bishop and Benson family,
God took an angel when he called your Mother, (Grandmother, Sister and Aunt) home. We were blessed to have had her touch our lives. Aunt Joan always treated us as one of her own when we came to visit, and always welcomed us with a big spread on. We would never leave hungry. There are a lot of memories I will treasure, and hopefully one day soon we will have a good chat about them. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Diane, Toni, Barb, Rick and family. Yvonne and I are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I can only remember her for the kind and happy person that she always seemed to be. She was a wonderful and generous person who gladly allowed me to spend a small part of my youth with your family many years ago. I am grateful for things she did for me and I have many happy memories of that time. You have our deepest condolences.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Joan; she was my mom’s first cousin and looked a lot like mom. I spoke to Joan at all of the Long’s events. It was always a pleasure to speak to her, she was truly a lovely lady and had a very kindred spirit. I will miss Joan.

To the Bishop Family……

Very sorry to hear about Joni.

Joani had a big presence in the lives of my family. After all, she knew and saw enough of us.

Working on Water Street at Trapnell’s for 65 years and retiring at 80 was indeed exceptional. She affected a great many people over those 65 years on Water Street, providing guidance or assurance to whomever approached her and asked questions. She was terribly good at it.

I know that Joani loved, and loved to see, all her family. She was always so pleased when any of you showed up on Water Street to visit her. They were good times.

Joani had a great influence on my life, and was part of my life while I worked through some difficult issues. She listened, and always had wonderful insight and guidance to offer. If my father were alive, I believe he would say that his experience was the same as mine.

Thinking of you all…..David Hiscock

Diane , My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family at the passing of your beautiful Mom. I was happy to see her when I came home for a visit. She was beautiful inside and out. She never aged. Hugs to you all.

To the whole Bishop and Benson families:
My deepest sympathies to you all. Joanie was a very dear friend, and I will always treasure my visits with her in her final days. I will also treasure our visits and breakfasts out whenever I would make it home. I first met her when I worked part time at Trapnell’s Jewellery some 32 years ago. I always loved her upbeat enthusiasm, and positive attitude on everything. She always made me look at things in a positive light. I will miss her dearly, as I know you will, too.
Rest in peace, my dear friend. Love you to pieces! Xo
