I am heart broken to learn today of John’s passing. I am presently out of town and I just read his obituary.
A wonderful man with a huge smile and a positive attitude to life. His love for you and his family was visible in everything he said and done, you were his life, his comforter, his soul mate, his friend but most of all the love of his life. May God give you the strength to carry on the journey that you and your family have ahead.

My heartfelt condolences. I haven’t seen John in many years, and I’m sorry that I didn’t see him during come home year in Rose Blanche last year. Way back during our high school years, John always seemed to be at the center of it all. It seemed we were always either in his basement playing pool, or playing ball on the road, or setting up for Friday dances with his stereo. Those are the memories I’ll always carry. God bless.

I’m so saddened to hear that John lost his courageous battle. He was a friend to everyone who met him. We shared many laughs in university. He is with other Angels now. God Bless you all.

I met John when I was a frosh at Hatcher House in 1986. He would visit fellow frosh who were from Rose Blanche. I ended up working with John at the CSU a few years later and he was one of the most positive people I have met. Always with a smile on his face and help if I needed it; sometimes a good razzing too. I have enjoyed connecting with John via Facebook for the last 5 years as I’m on the other side of Canada now and have enjoyed seeing his posts of his girls and how proud he was of his family.
