Joyce Lorraine Whitten (Pugh)

Obituary

Joyce wanted her obituary to read “Reluctantly passed away” on January 19, 2017 at Tiffany Village at the age of 81.  “I had the most wonderful life and told my children everyday. Leaving to celebrate my life, my best friend and husband for 60 years, Reg Whitten.  God bless… how I loved him.  Also, three darling angels, daughters Joy Budden (Phil), Janice Fallon (Dan), Ottawa, and Jodi Whitten (Tim Sutton), Ottawa.  The five best grandchildren Krista Budden Donovan (Brad), Ashlee St. Croix (Karl), Matthew Fallon, Katelyn Fallon and Colin Grimes.  Plus, I lived long enough to enjoy three super great grandchildren Lila Donovan, Charlie and Vivienne St. Croix.”

Also, leaving to celebrate her life her sisters Mary Thistle (Jim), Nita Baird (Gerry), Noreen George (Abby); brothers Brett Pugh (Helena) and Jack Pugh (Fran). Joyce was predeceased by her parents Brett and Desma Pugh and her sister Jean Moore (Doug).  The family wishes to thank all the staff at Tiffany Village for the kind and obliging way they care for and love the residents.

Cremation has taken place. In Joyce’s words, “No visitations… Party Next Summer!”  There will be a private family celebration in the coming weeks.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to a Charity of one’s choice.

Sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. Our condolence to Reg and the Pugh family. I have many good memories with the Pugh’s when they were on Cabot Street. Joyce was dating Reg back then. She was always a beautiful looking lady.
