Katherine (Kay) Bernadette Burt (nee Linegar)

June 30, 1936 to May 10, 2020

Obituary

On Sunday, May 10, 2020, Katherine Burt (nee Linegar) passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughters. Karen was reading to her and Nancy was holding her hand.  Also mourning her loss is her only son, Chris (Karen Sinclair) in BC, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Katherine was the only child of Horwood and Ada (nee Fisher) Linegar (both predeceased).

Our mother was an incredibly strong woman who was not afraid to let us climb and fall.  We always knew she would be there to pick us back up and make us try again.  Her love for her family was immeasurable and reciprocated and our lives will not be the same without her.

The family would like to thank the staff of Pratt Place at the Agnes Pratt Home for making her as comfortable as possible and a special thank you to those who shared a laugh with her while she was there.  She was a colorful lady who loved to laugh.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service as per Katherine’s request.  Donations in her memory can be sent to a local animal shelter of your choice.

So sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I didn’t know her for a long time but long enough to see that she was a fine lady. I used to play and sing sometimes at the home and she loved it. Every day we would have a little chat. God love her, may she rest in peace.
