Sandy and family. I was so sad to hear about your Dad. He sounded like a wonderful Dad and Pop. I know the hole it leaves in your heart losing our parents and it will take time to get used to life without him. Eventually you will be able to think of him and smile at all of the great memories. He will live on in you but it takes time to learn to live without him and not cry. Thinking of you all. Anita and Wayne Scott.

To the Walsh Family,

I had the pleasure to work with Larry in the 80’s in Accident Investigation Section of the RNC, such a funny, kind and gentle man. I had many challenges trying to read his handwriting but he always made me laugh no matter how frustrated I got with him.

I joined RNC at the young age of 19; at that time Larry took me under his wife, introduced me to his beautiful wife and family! We spent a a lot of time working together! It was always fun to work with Larry, his humor and outlook on life was always so positive! You could always count on him playing a practical joke on another member! That innocent face never got him in trouble!
RIP My Friend!

On a sunny Sunday this past summer, my husband and I were on George Street being entertained by some wonderful NL music to celebrate George St. Festival.I have always loved the “Old Fashioned Waltz” and it was being encouraged to get up and have a scuff. My husband doesn’t care for it as much as I do. I noticed he was chatting with a fine looking gentleman beside him.I pondered whether it would be ok to ask this man if he cared to dance. The man said he would love to and we danced to ” Music And Friends” on the cobble stoned street. He confided he loved to dance but hadn’t done so for a while. When we sat down , we started a conversation ( as Newfies would) and exchanged names. Larry Walsh was my wonderful dance partner . He revealed he was a retired RNC .We have a dear friend who is retired RNC. and as it happened, they grew up together in St. John’s. Only in Newfoundland as they say. Mr. Walsh added to my enjoyment of that day. and our dance brought back memories for him. My friend informed me of his passing and I was shocked and saddened. From the messages of his friends, I see that he was a wonderful man and well loved. It is said, God chooses the best first.. Please accept our sincere condolences. Your wonderful memories will help you in the difficult days ahead. Sincerely Jean and Clyde Vincent

It’s been many years since I have seen him but I am truly privileged to have had him for an Uncle as he was such a kind and caring man and this showed through his love and dedication to his family . I will forever remember his wonderful smile and the way he always left you laughing .
