Obituary
Passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his loving family, Leslie Greeley, 86, of Portugal Cove. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Mary (Hall). His children Judy (Keith), Loretta/Sis (Johnny), Roger (Rita), Jim (Jennifer), Rick (Joanne), grandchildren, Angie, Shawn, Blair, Josh, Janene, Brendan, and very dear to his heart, Olivia and Julia, along with 5 great-grandchildren. Also leaving behind with cherished memories, his siblings Ida May, Leonard, Vic and their families. As well as a large circle of extended family and friends, including Kelly Squires who thought of him as her own Pop. A special thank you to the staff of 4 South B of the Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care during his lengthy stay. We would also like to thank his brother-in-law, Gerry Hall, for being there for the family during the last few months. Leslie will be resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Monday, January 27th from 2-6 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 28th at 11 a.m. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the United Church of Portugal Cove. He was like no other. The greatest memorizes of childhood are going to Aunt Mary and Uncle Les’s house. He always had smile or a joke. He took the good nature ribbing his family gave him. I was always made welcome. I will miss you Shortie love you forever
