Obituary

It is with great sadness that the Family of Joan Nugent announces her passing on September 3rd, 2019 aged 85 years, a kind and gentle woman who dearly loved her family and friends, and was adored by all who knew her.  She had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially her pets.

Joan is predeceased by her lovingly remembered husband Eric.  She leaves behind eight children:  Bob (Vikki), Joanne (Ed), Trudy (Ron), Eric (Dianne), Chris (Rose), Tina (Rod), Wendy (Dave) and Terry (Kim).  Also grandchildren: Terry, Janine, Jillian, Laura, Maria, Josh, Ryan, Deanne, Gavin, Amanda, Janel and Christina; great grandchildren: Victoria, Liam, Lindsay, Abby, Allison, Samantha, Avery and Grayson. Also left to mourn her best friend and sister Carol Burke (Norbert), a special friend and partner Kevin Dunn, Donna Pomeroy (Ron), Effie Wiseman, Dorothy Kearney and many others too numerous to mention.

Heartfelt thanks for the special care received from Dr. Stefanelli and Dr. H. Bannister, the doctors and staff of St. Clare’s Hospital and the wonderful supportive staff at Meadow Creek Retirement Center.  Many thanks to friends and family who have visited Joan, provided food and comfort and paid respects at Carnell’s Funeral Home.
