To Cec and all the other members of Lorna’s family,
I only knew Lorna in recent years when she came to my hair Salon to get her hair done. Cec, the love you shared was evident in your caring and thoughtful actions. Lorna was a lovely woman whose compassion and love of life always shone through. She will be missed.

I remember her well as the teacher of all of my children at St. Andrew’s Elementary School, and as a colleague when I, too, was in the field of education. To Cecil, Mrs Brace, and Family. Our hearts were deeply saddened to hear of Lorn,a,s passing.Lorna and I became good friends during their years in Bauline..During that time we shared much fun, laughter, and even tears.There.are not enough adjectives to describe Lorna,s personality, but what warmed my heart most, was her ability to understand. Lorna was a shinning star to her family and friends. I realize oh too well, how broken hearted you all are,but may you derive a little comfort from the words of an old Hebrew proverb,which says” say not in grief she is no more, but live in thankfulness that she was” Rest assured that our hearts and prayers are with you as you travel this very sad journey. God bless you all. Hilda and Bill.

Our deepest condolences to Cec and all of Lorna’s family. Len and I are so very sorry to hear of Lorna’s passing. Lorna was a ray of light who was loved by all who were lucky enough to have known her. She had the gift of touching people in such a way that always made them feel special. A gentle soul who was kind and compassionate to all those she crossed paths with. The world will certainly be a darker lonelier place without her. Lorna’s memory will be cherished and will live on in the hearts of those who loved her best. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again.

Today I’ve learned of my friend Lorna’s passing. Lorna and I go back to the early sixties when we were teens; friends and neighbours on University Avenue. We shared clothes and makeup, as young girls do, and we laughed a lot. Many years later we reconnected. We holidayed together and visited each other. Like Nancy, I remember Lorna’s lovely smile and how she made me feel by being so interested in me. Lorna was an original with a gentle soul, a wonderful credit to Alex and Elsene. Wayne, Calvin, Beverley and Jeffrey – my condolences on your sister’s passing. Elsene, take care; Lorna spoke lovingly of you always. And Cecil stay well;
You were always Lorna’s rock. Rest in peace lovely Lorna, Pauline

To Lorna’s husband and family. I have fond memories of teaching with Lorna at Parkins Academy many years ago. She was always pleasant and helpful and kind to the children. Deepest sympathy from Phyllis & Max Beckett (FL)

I was lucky enough to be taught, and cared about, by Mrs. Whalen in Grade 3 at St. Andrew’s Elementary. She has been lovingly remembered ever since, as a favorite teacher. I am now 20 years into my own teaching career, and also teaching Grade 3. Reading of her passing in today’s paper, has left me feeling sad, but smiling with beautiful memories of her kindness, smile, and beautiful outfits!. My condolences to the family.
Sincerely,
Nancy Russell Corbett
