Obituary

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Lorraine Elizabeth Collins, age 75. Predeceased by her husband Francis Collins, parents Robert and May Candow, stepfather Robert Hayes, sisters Nellie and Gloria, and brother Walter. Leaving to mourn sons Melvyn (Barbara), and John (Kerry Lynn); daughters Elizabeth (Kevin), and Christine (Wilson); stepchildren Frances and Neil; brothers Fred (Ann), and Robert (Viola); sisters Doris (Hubert), and Yvonne (James); as well as grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of palliative care unit at the L. A. Miller Centre, as well as all family and friends for their love and support through the difficult journey. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. The family will accept visitors on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 from 1 – 4 p.m, and 6 – 9 p.m, and Thursday, September 1st, 2016 from 1 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at 2 p.m. An inurnment will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
