To the Gordon family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom will be so missed by the Dunfield Streer crowd. How many times would so walk pass your house and chat with your mom out working on her garden. She was always such a pleasure to speak to. From growing up on the street, then to living there with my first to children then to seeing her at events at St Bon’s. Sometimes you don’t realize it. But she has been a constant in my life. Always there with a smile and a kind word.

May your memories of you mom stay always in your mind and your heart.
Love to you all,
Elizabeth Whelan Hollett, The Whelan’s and The Hollett’s.

The Gordon family,

It is with great sadness I express my sincere condolences to you all. I was totally shocked when I heard of Mrs. Gordon’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and such a dear friend and neighbor to my mom. No doubt they are chatting up a storm in heaven. As one of my friends said “the two matriarchs of Dunfield St. are now gone”. Such true words. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

May she rest in peace.

Elaine Barnes (Cook) and Bill

May your family find solace from the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. He promised that in the Paradise life will be a delight, more than we can imagine. (Psalm 37:29; John 5:28, 29) He will even resurrect our loved ones like Margaret. Until then, trust that in due season, Jehovah God heals the brokenhearted and he binds up their wounds. Wishing you the strength you need in the days ahead.

Have so many memories of growing up around your mom. She was a wonderful lady and many times at the cabin. One of the last things I did before leaving nl was visit and give her all my mom Lillian’s pictures that had your family in them. My thoughts are with you at this time
