Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Friday, May 14 in her 99th year at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell Sr.; sons Hayward and Vern; daughter Florie and stepdaughter Beatrice Sears (Leo); parents Margaret and William Parsons; sisters Ethel Perrin (Jack), Lil Gosse (Bertrum), Florie Pennell (Walter), and Jen Janes (Harold); brothers Arch Clarke (Anne), and Charles Parsons (Nel). Leaving to mourn her loving family, daughters Muriel Lawlor (Ned), Jenny Quilty (Edward), Mary Henley (Dave), Joyce Hussey (Paul); sons Max Jr. (Linda), Edward (Susan), Aubrey (special daughter-in-law Debbie for her wonderful care and attention); many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, and many friends and relatives. Special thanks to the caregivers of Comfort Home Care and staff, doctors, and nurses of the Health Sciences Centre and St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for Mom’s wonderful care these past few weeks. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, May 16 and Monday, May 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 18 at 11am with interment to follow in the Paradise Non-Denominational Cemetery. The funeral service will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person, with the link available above. Flowers accepted, or donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I can hear her beautiful voice now as she would call daily to check on you while I worked at RNYC. Our little chats then were always a pleasure and memories I will treasurer.
