Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on April 29, 2019, Marie Alice Carew, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard Carew, and her Chaffey siblings, originally of Jeffrey’s, NL. Leaving to mourn her children, Fred (Andrea Kemp) in St. John’s, Janet (Derek Peters), and Lois Haycock, and her beloved grandsons, Dylan and Christopher Haycock, in Bermuda; dear friends, Gloria Morris, Violet Aylward, Grace Howell, and Elizabeth Stone, and numerous family and friends. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Friday, May 3rd from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service at Carnell’s Chapel on Saturday, May 4th at 11 a.m. with interment of ashes following at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. so sorry to hear of Aunt Marie’s passing. I was in Australia visiting my daughter and just found out about her passing. I have many fond memories of Aunt Marie and the support that she offered especially when I was growing up.
