Passed peacefully away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 Mark Paul Walsh, age of 55 years. Preceded by his parents Paul & Helen Walsh (Edwards) and niece Katie Shallow. Leaving to mourn his sister Gaye (Tony Shallow), his brother Gary, nephews Colin Shallow (Marie), Daniel Shallow (Haley) and Dr. Scott Shallow (Kirsten), special friends and caregivers Linda Babstock, Rosie Kennedy, Ian Peddle, Alec Noel, Jan Lilyroth and other relatives and friends. A thank you to the staff at St. Clare’s Hospital who provided such kind care during his final days.

Mark will also be missed by his many very special friends at the Vera Perlin Society and Special Olympics who provided wonderful fellowship, support and guidance throughout his life. Mark had his challenges but he never let them hinder his ability to lean to swim and be a kind and gentle man who was a friend to all he met.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 23, 2017 with a memorial service in the Carnell Chapel @10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. A private funeral service will take place at a later date and Mark will be interred next to his parents. No flowers by request and donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the Vera Perlin Society or a charity of one’s choice.
