Obituary

Today we lost our precious loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  Predeceased by her husband William James and newborn son William James Jr., mother Dora and father John Squires of St. Philips.  Left to mourn is daughter Winnifred (Tom), son Arthur (Bernice); grandchildren Douglas (Valerie), Lawrence (Kim), Angela (Steve); great-grandchildren Brady, Alyxandra, Adrianna, Zackery and Sophia; sister Lorraine Rowe and many nieces and nephews,  particularly Lorraine and Maria.  Thank you to the caring staff at Glenbrook Lodge and North Pond Manor and to special friends Debbie Powers, Flora Fowler, Carole Lorenzen and Ivan Burry.  There was nothing more important to her than her children and grandchildren.  She lived for all of us and she will be forever in our Hearts.

The Family of the late Mary King,
Our sincere condolences in the loss of your dear Mother and Grandmother, Mary, and the loss of your loved one, Arthur. We are deeply saddened to learn of Nanny King’s passing. Deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time.

We are so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. We remember her from years ago at North Pond Manor when she was a roommate of my mother Maisie. She was one of the sweetest women we ever met. Every year we would look forward to seeing her birthday picture on the news. Our sympathy to the family.

I am sorry to hear of Marys Passing She was a real good friend to me when i had the chip shop she wouid call me to get her some fries and when she came over she would bring me over some tea Buns RIP MARY

Sending condolences to your family..

Deepest condolences to all the family especially Angela, Bernice and Winnie. I last saw Mary at North Pond when I would go to see my Aunt Margaret when Briar and I would be home for a visit. I guess time is passing. She was such a good friend to my nan and she holds a special place in all our hearts. #lovelivesforever . So many nice memories.

My condolences to you all. Mary was a sweetheart we were only to happy to take care of her at North Pond. We were so sad when she left our home, she was missed. May she rest peacefully.

Winnie and Tom, our deepest sympathies to you on losing your dear Mom. I used to talk to her a lot while she was at Torbay home, although her hearing loss made it difficult for her. But I would manage to get through to her. She was a dear lady and you are so blest to have had her so long. God bless you both, in this particularly difficult time, especially with all the Covid restrictions. Keep safe

I was so sad when I heard of Mary passing away she told me once there is a time for all of us .I am very happy that I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful woman she made a difference I worked at North Pond doing night shift with Maxine and Tanya for a few years and I always enjoyed having a little chat with Mary She truly was a gentle soul . May God Bless and keep her.
