The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to her caregiver, August Sta, who has been by our mom’s side for many years. August will always have a special place in our hearts.

Mélanie also leaves behind many special lifelong friends and relatives near and far.

Honouring Mélanie’s request, cremation has taken place and she is to be joined with her husband Donald Dingle. Mélanie has also requested that there will be no visitation or funeral but a private family celebration of life.

We love you and miss you very much, yet we are comforted by all the love, laughter, and precious memories that remain in our hearts.

I was so saddened to hear of Mel’s death and I know it is a hard time indeed for you all.
Such a huge loss and such a special lady.
There aren’t really sufficient words but you know I’m sending the warmest, squeeziest hugs your way.
Melanie was a good friend to my mom and one of my fondest recent memories is a visit between the two. Mom couldn’t hear and Mel couldn’t see but they made it work. I hope they have lots more laughter wherever they are now.
