Obituary

Passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 10th, 2016, Michael Brendan Hoddinott (nee Pierce), aged 32 years. Leaving to mourn his loving husband Clinton Hoddinott; mother Julia Pierce (Paul Mario Furlong, deceased); father Raymond Pierce; sister Sarah Pierce; mother and father-in-law Marion and Kenneth Hoddinott; sister-in-law Jennifer Hoddinott (Dean); nieces Brooke, Emma, and Aspen; nephews Jack, Ethan, and Austin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Special thank you to Wayne and Frances James for their continued love and support. The family will be receiving visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 12 – 9 p.m, and Sunday, November 13th, 2016 from 10 – 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 13th, 2016 at 2 p.m. There will be no graveside committal following the service.

My thoughts and prayers are with Michaels family and loved ones during this difficult time. I only knew Michael a short while, but one thing I’ll always remember is that he always had a smile on his face.

To Julie, Sarah and Clinton and your Pierce and Hoddinott families, I am so very sorry for all you’ve been going through with Michael being sick and his passing. Clinton..Was so sorry to hear of Michaels passing..A shock really as I did not know that he was ill. Although I had never met him, I have heard nothing but good things about him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Michael’s family and friends during this most difficult time. We may have drifted apart since high school but I will always remember what a joy it was to be around Michael. I am so sorry for your loss.

While Michael may no longer be here in body, his love of life and family will always be there to give everyone of you strength when you need it. My deepest condolences to the Pierce family and Michael’s husband Clint. Michael and I were good friends growing up and kept in touch over the years. He was one of the kindest and funniest people I’ve ever had the privilege to know. I have many fond memories of him that will always make me smile. He was very special and will be greatly missed.
