I am so sorry to learn of Mrs. Major’s passing. Rev. Cannon Carl and Families, May I share my memories of her.? In June of 1964, I, 13 year-old, Lorraine Mangrove from St Lewis, had to go to Mary’s Harbour, Labrador, to write my Grade 8 Bursary exams. I stayed with Mrs. Major, along with Gail. The exams lasted three days or so, but I was invited to stay for about a week. It was the best week of My thirteenth year. I looked after the children, baked ginger cookies for Mrs. Major….she loved them….and I did so much more. She gave me some beautiful clothes! I shall never forget her kindness to me! She was the person I aspired to be when I “Grew up”. What a beautiful person. I still remember pics I saw somewhere of you both taking flight after your wedding….and I thought…wow….what a romantic getaway! God rest her gentle soul, and may His Holy Spirit strengthen you to cope with this deep loss. So, so sorry!

So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing! I’m out of the country on holidays so, unfortunately, will not be able to see you guys in person to pass on my condolences! You are in my thoughts and prayers!
