Obituary

Passed away on December 27, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre, Phyllis Diamond, aged 80 years.  She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence; parents Baxter and Susan Fudge; brother David Fudge and sister Jean Mills.  Leaving to mourn are her children: Frederick Diamond (Sussana Branco), Paul Diamond (Angela Brown) and Nancy Diamond( Todd Harrison); grandsons Sean Herdman and Adam Diamond; siblings Sylvia Ryan (Frank), Fred Fudge (Ena), Paulette Fudge and Derek Fudge (Jill); also, a number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to care giver Jacqueline Kavanagh for the care and compassion shown towards mom; and family friend Harry Abbott for everything he has done.  The family will accept visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday January 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 4th.  Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of NL.

So sorry to hear of Phyllis’s passing. We worked together at the Janeway and I have many fond memories and even though it was a very stressful environment I always felt better when she was working with me.

Sorry to hear of your loss Fred, Paul, and Nancy. We were neighbors for 50 plus years. She was a lovely and gracious lady.

To the Diamond families : Sorry to hear of Phyllis’ passing. She was a fellow student at Herdmsn Collegeiate in Corner Brook, also a fellow nursing student at the General Hospital School of Nursing. Deepest sympathy .
