Obituary

MERCER, Raymond David – Passed peacefully away on March 1st, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre in his 82nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife of 50 years, Millicent (nee Tucker). His children, daughter Carol (Darren Comerford) and son David. Grandchildren Mitchell Comerford and Rebecca Comerford. Sister in laws Mildred Mercer and Margaret Mercer. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Rebecca Mercer; his parent in laws Peter and Mildred Tucker; siblings Elizabeth, Ronald, Wilfred, Hubert, Hilda, and Robert; brother in law Malcolm Tucker.  The family would like to thank the staff of 4 South A for their care and attention in his final days. Special thank you to Dr. Renée Lester, Dr. Sam Babak, Dr. Karen Downton, and Dr. Ahmed Bashaga for their care and support. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Friday, March 3rd from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday March 4th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral to held on Sunday, March 5th at 2 p.m. from St. Philip’s Anglican Church. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to St. Philip’s Anglican Church.
