Vivien and the children, I just happen to take a look at the gulf new and found the obituary for Don, needless to say it left me speechless. We go back to when you live in Port aux Basques, Robert was a baby. Then our paths crossed again when we both lived in Carbonear. It is hard to believe that this appalling disease took a way the life of someone who enjoyed life so much. We lost our mom to this disease also.
You both had loved the valley so much I remember you taking me with you both, i would watch Robert and you would fish.
My thoughts are with you and the family while you try to regain your lives again.
Jane Tremblay (Cornish)

“Push gaily on, strong heart! The while
You travel forward mile by mile,
He loiters with a backward smile
Till you can overtake,
And strains his eyes to search his wake,
Or whistling, as he sees you through the brake,
Waits on a stile.”

Our thoughts are with you on the death of your beloved husband and father. We have wonderful memories of Dr Jones. He was warm, compassionate and funny. The cruelty of Alzheimer’s is that you experience two good byes, one of which can be very long and difficult to watch. We know he has left a legacy of love and that your memories will keep him close at heart.
