To Daniel ,Nicole and family. It’s with heavy Heart that I only found out about your Moms passing. Today She was my wife in the very early years and I do have memories of some beautiful times together. It was nice to reconnect with her in later years and get to spend time with you both. She alway was a free spirit with a loving and beautiful heart. Very sad she was taken too early from you both. Big hugs and stay safe and stay well.. I would like to know if there is a gathering to cell her life. Difficult what with COVID-19. I my self got diagnosed with Cancer this year. My contact is jarlockwood22@hotmail.ca. Tel. 902 717 2036.

I was a co-worker of Ruth’s at the Delta hotel for the past few years and can honestly say that she was one of the sweetest, dearest people I have ever met in my life. We had many a long conversation about family, work and about the illness she had and the hard treatment she had to indure. Having lost both my parents to cancer, I knew what she was struggling with and saw the courage she had to try and fight the disease.

She would light up the room when she was there and there were days you knew she was struggling to keep going, but she never complained and always had a smile on her face. I loved her dearly and will miss her terribly. If there is anyone who deserved angel wings it was Ruth. My deepest condolences to get family, just remember she is never really gone as she will watch over you in spirit forever.

With heartfelt sadness for your loss of your mom.

To Ruth’s family my deepest condolences. I have thought a lot about Ruth this week she was such a special lady. We spent the first 12 years of our lives almost inseparable . We walked to school together, ballet lessons, we climbed nearly every tree on Empire Ave. The time we got stuck on the cliffs of Signal hill. Wow how did we every get out of that. Sore high my Angel.

Dear Nicole and Daniel – I went to school with your mom when she attended Edgehill – she was always full of life and laughter and left a magical mark on everyone . Ruth ( and we had some great nicknames for her too ) was a leader and found time for everyone from Field Hockey tips to spiking the ball to picking out a dress for the prom- she had a shoulder for all. I have wonderful memories however I am sure you have many many more memories to treasure which I hope bring you comfort. Sending my condolences and love – Gudie Hutchings ( nee Lundrigan )

It was a joy to meet her on every occasion. A professional by every measure! My condolences to her family and friends.

RIP Ruth

I am so sorry to hear of Ruthie’s passing. Even though Ruthie and I are cousins once removed??? we only met on a couple of occasions. The first time was when I was 8 or 9 and I went with Margot and Ann Thomas to Y for young children. Ruthie walked up to me and declared that we were cousins. My first impression of her never wavered, Ruthie was a people person with a beautiful energy. Her passing is indeed a great loss.

My heart and prayers go out to you all. It is so unfortunate to lose a mother and even more unfortunate ar such a young age. She will be with you forever, just hold on to that. She will be here in spirit forever, even though she cannot be here in body. She will vve forever missed.

Take Care. Michelle
