So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I spent a lot of time at the Bishop’s as a child, at their home on Beaumont Street, playing with my friend Kimmy ????. I always felt welcome and enjoyed many a plate of fries there. Your mom always seemed so elegant when she would be getting ready to go for a dance at the Legion on Saturday nights with your dad. I didn’t see much of her once they moved to Mount Pearl but the few times I did she always had a lovely smile and a warm hello. Hold on to your precious memories, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Tony and I send our condolences to Kim and her family on the passing of their dear mom. Shirley was a delightful lady with a great sense of humour and a kind heart. She made the absolute best dish clothes that she made sure to share with family and friends. Her love of baked goods and a trip outside was legendary. We hope that during this difficult time that your memories will provide some comfort. Be assured you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear of Mrs. BIshops passing. She was quite the lady with her quick wit and never ending smile.. She always welcomed you in for a cup of tea and a chat. Her baked beans and gingerbread were what legends were made of. Her greatest joy was her family in which she was so proud.. rest in peace

My heart is breaking for you all and Ron and I send our love to you. Aunt Shirley was a woman like no other – she gave to everyone around her and always with a smile! “You have to enjoy life” she told me once… and boy did she! Now she is dancing again with Uncle Ron and I will remember her fondly and forever (especially when I eat raisin bread because she made the best loaves). XOXO

Tina, Ron & Family,

We were both so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing.

I have such fond memories of both your mom and dad and have thought of them many times over the years. I spent so much time at your house in my tween and teen years. My most vivid memories of them are getting all dressed up to go to their Saturday night dance, us going for drives laying down in the back of your station wagon and getting capelin at Middle Cove Beach. They were the epitome of what great parenting is all about.

Though I know you will miss her terribly, take solace in the fact that she will be reunited with your dad and she will suffer no more. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

God Bless. May you rest in peace, Mrs. Bishop.
