Passed away suddenly, but peacefully at her home in Paradise, Velma Barnes-Lynch, in her 69th year.  Predeceased by her father, Frank Barnes, her good friend and aunt Madeline Barnes.

Leaving to mourn her husband, Melvin; her two sons, Melvin Jr. Lynch (Alyssa Canning) and Craig Lynch; her grand-children, whom she adored, Jessica Rose (Ryan Flynn), Brady Lynch, Mackenzie Whitehead, Ethan Fitzgerald-Lynch, Brooklynn Lynch, Dylan and Abigail Lynch; also, great-grandson Jaxson Whitehead; her mother and lifelong friend, Katherine Barnes; her brother Harvey Barnes; sisters; Rose Morgan, Lucy Slater and their families.

Also, brother and sisters-in-law Jack Lynch (Hazel Lynch), Marina Bussey, Madeline Penney, Joan Chayter and their families, close friend Tina Fitzgerald, her many nieces, nephews and large circle of friends and family.

Forever loved, forever missed.  She was the glue that kept all of us together.

We would also like to thank the staff at Eastern Health in the ICU and 4NorthB for taking care of her in her time spent in hospital.  We greatly appreciate it.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 17th and Friday, June 18th. Funeral service on Saturday, June 19th, 2021, at 2PM from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow in the Non-denominational Cemetery, Paradise Rd.

Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in her memory, may be made to a charity of your choice.
