Obituary
Passed peacefully away on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 at Pleasantview Towers, Victor Ward Tucker, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents, Nathaniel and Hettie Tucker; brothers, Robert and Obadiah; sister Helen Squires. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 64 years, Joan (Peddle); four sons: Victor Jr. (Gwen), Robert (Lonnie), Rod (Mildred) and Jason (Lori); daughter Debra Pipe (Kevin); six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Margaret); sister, Grace McCann (Declan); sister-in-law Lillian Tucker; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff of 3 North West at Pleasantview Towers for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-9 p.m. on Monday July 30th. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Inurnment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Debbie, Grace, Joan, Gordon and all of Victor’s family, thinking of you all since Victor passed away. Victor was a quiet, gentle, friendly man, always with a smile and a kind word. He sometimes came to our house to fix a tractor or truck for Dad, or Dad popped out to see him. One summer when I worked at Johnson Insurance, he kindly let me drive to and from work with him, as Johnson Insurance was across the street from G.G.R Parsons, where he worked. I was a young girl at the time, returning to College in September. God Bless you all.
