In loving memory of “Billy”

Passed peacefully with his daughter by his side at the Carbonear General Hospital at the age of 73 years old on Thursday April 1st, 2021.

Billy was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and moved to Toronto where he worked and raised a family with his wife Margaret Ley.  After retiring he moved back to the Rock (Newfoundland) to enjoy the good life.

He is survived by his mother Jenny Ley, brother Tommy Ley, and sister Debbie Fallis.

Predeceased by his father Alphonse, brothers Wally, Bruce, Brian, Danny and sister Linda.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, his son Bill Ley (Melinda), daughter Tammey Bayer (Gerry), grandchildren, Grayden, Jaxsen, Kyle and Marcus. A special mention of his dear friend Terry Pruder, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, had a heart of gold and loved to put a smile on the face of anyone he met.  Billy enjoyed fishing, boating, fixing cars, helping out friends and family, watching games shows and hanging out with the boys.

Dad was known to the locals as “Cadillac Bill” and drove his caddy with pride.

Cremation has taken place; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

“Forever in our hearts until we meet again”
