Memorialization
 Simply speaking, memorialization is any way a person chooses to celebrate a life that has been lived. Many people choose permanent forms of memorialization, but in fact, your choices are limited only by your imagination. Many families consider items as simple as a funeral notice, or a eulogy fitting memorials. The funeral ceremony and committal are, in themselves, also forms of memorialization.
The most common among tangible memorialization choices are upright monuments, or headstones of granite or marble, or bronze markers, inscribed and set flush with the earth. Such markers are available in many shapes, and may include a short verse, phrase or picture, providing the visitor with some insight into the life of the deceased and/or the feelings of his or her family.
