Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Sullivan on Sunday, April 26, 2020, age 81 years.  Predeceased by his parents May and John Sullivan; sisters Lydia, Susie (Nathaniel Noseworthy), Violet (Cecil Noseworthy), Grace (Jack Melee) and brother Frank.  Left to mourn brother Hayward Sullivan (Edith) and a large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews. A warm thank you to Reverend Eugene Castella for presiding over the service and Reverend Emeline Coffin-Strickland for her assistance.  And from the bottom of our hearts a very large warm thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff of Pleasantview Towers who over the years became Jack’s second family.  Due to the current global pandemic of COVID-19 there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.  A graveside service will be conducted for immediate family on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at All Saints Cemetery, Pouch Cove.

I have very fond memories of early School days with Jackie. He would delight us all with his singing and guitar playing on Friday afternoons, and especially at Christmas concerts in the S.U.F. Hall. Later in life he would make great music with his buddies.
I extend deepest sympathy to Hayward and all the family as you say good bye to a kind and gentle man who was always a gentleman. May he Rest In Peace and sing with the angels!

My sincere condolences to the family. Rest in Peace Jackie.

Jackie, I remember as a young boy , you playing music with your brother, Teddy, Wayne and especially Neil .it was the highlight of my childhood. I remember you playing and singing Hello Mary Lou at the S. U, f. When I was very young.. I pray that you are still making music in the eternal life. R.i.p Jackie. Deepest sympathies Hayward.

I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Lid, Mr. Frank and Jackie. His singing and playing the guitar was always in their home. Sincerely, JoAnne (Burke) Janes
