Obituary

It’s with great sadness that we, the family of Bernice Kennedy, announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the age of 87. She was surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer.  Predeceased by her husband Ed Kennedy (1991), brothers Cyril Winsor and Charlie Winsor; brother in law Bud Francis; sisters Marg Scott and her husband Scotty, and Betty Jerrett and her husband Dave.

Leaving to mourn daughters Barbara Dawson and Patsy Kennedy; grandson Stephen Dawson (Cynthia Whalen) (Calgary AB); granddaughter  Jennifer Dawson (Mark Webber) and the love of her life great granddaughter  Maggie Webber. Her sisters Joan Francis and Shirley Rinn (Gerry); sisters in law Patsy Winsor and Helen Winsor. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, family friend Jim Fox, and a wide circle of friends especially her lifelong friend Sadie Brown. Special thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Patrick O’Shea and Community Health Nurse, Lori Metcalfe. Cremation has taken place.

Due to the Public Health Advisory of COVID-19, there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to Dr. H. Bliss Cancer Centre or a charity of one’s choice.

You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you

You are always by our side
