Tom, Jason, Jamie and Family:
I was so saddened to hear today of Agnes’s passing.
Agnes and I worked together in Clinical Offices at the Health Sciences Centre.. I have such fond memories of working along side of her as well as the many get togethers we would have. Agnes would light up a room with her smile and infectious laugh. Agnes was so proud of her family and when I saw her awhile ago she was beaming, telling me about her grandchildren.

Agnes, you will be missed by all who had the privilege to know you.

My sincere condolences to you all.

So sorry to hear of Agnes’ passing. My condolences to her family.

To the Budgell Family,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of lovely Agnes. You are so fortunate to have had her in your lives….such an inspirational person. When one felt unwell going to the doctor at Family Practice …Agnes was an important part of making us feel better. On the phone, her warm, caring voice put us at ease to know she was going to connect us in the most swift & caring way she could to the start of being looked after. Her caring touch with her face to face encounters at the desk, or anywhere, was constantly heartwarming & uplifting. So loved by so many. Dianne Boone

Agnes was our rock through all our years with Family Practice but especially during Dick’s final illness. I’ve always thought she got him a good seat in the waiting room and made sure he didn’t have to sit long. It was a little perk when you rang the practice and Agnes picked up. My condolences to her family. She has been missed on the front desk by many of us

I am so saddened to learn of Agnus’s passing. She was the helpful, friendly face that greeted me at Family Medecine for 30 years or more. Over the years she became a friend and we managed to keep in touch after her retirement. She was a lovely person. My sincere condoleances to Tom, Jamie and all of her family. I am honoured to have known her. May she rest in peace.

A lovely and loving person – a joy to work with – a smile every morning when I arrived – never a negative comment – our office star

Very sorry to hear this. She was always so cheerful and kind when we were at Family Practice.. Condolences to her family.

I am very sad to hear of Agnes’ passing. As a patient at family practice she was always kind and comforting in difficult circumstances. When we needed help, Agnes was there to see it happened.

Sending much love! An amazing woman who made a difference in so many lives!
Keeping you all in my prayers.

Dear Budgell family,

Agnes was a warm voice on the phone and a friendly and compassionate presence in the Family Practice Unit. My deepest sympathy to her family on the sad loss of such a lovely person.

So sorry to hear this; so sad. I have such fond memories of her from the Family Practice Unit – she really connected with people and made them feel special. I always felt she was a friend who was trying to help me out when I needed an appointment; and she did it all with such ease – or it appeared. I enjoyed catching up with her and was at her house to pick up products I had bought from her. Such a lovely person.

I met Agnes when I worked in the Discipline of Family Medicine. She was a pleasure to be around. Always had a smile. She will be missed by many. Condolences to her whole family at this sad time in their lives.

I met Agnes during my on-the-job training at the Family Medicine Clinic. She was my mentor in knowing what it was all about to work in a busy clinic. Very kind, silly and a beautiful person. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

Dear Tom, Jason, Jamie and family,

Agnes brightened many of my days during her time at the Family Practice Unit. She was a key player in my transition from a family practice resident to being an independent physician. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time in your lives.

Tom, Jim & familes, very sorry to hear of Agnes passing. Our sincere condolences to you and your families.

Deepest condolences to the Budgell family. We are thinking of you at this time of loss. Agnes was always kind, giving and full of curiosity. Going forward I will still look across the street from my sister’s home and anticipate seeing her leaning across the railing on the veranda. No more bakeapples from the northern peninsula for me. We both acknowledged the superior quality of those berries compared to the Avalon Peninsula “scroff.” On my last visit to Nfld. in the pre-COVID world of 2019, she laughed so heartily when I told her that the bakeapples she gave me were so good that I had squeezed and licked the plastic bag like a 4 year old. So may the next chapter in your journey be one whereby you watch over your family and have barrens full of ripe, juicy bakeapples. Rest assured you may be gone but not forgotten.

Tom, Jason , Jamie, Jim & families, we are deeply saddened by Agnes passing & will miss her dearly, a special friend in every way, will miss her daily phone calls. Our prayers & thoughts are with you all . God bless & take care. Ruth & Merle

So sorry to here about Agnes. We both went to Booth Memorial High School. I spent many overnights at her place in Mundy Pond. We also shared the same first name. RIP Agnes. Condolences to her husband and family.

Agnes and I attended elementary (Reid) and high school (Booth Memorial) together and were members of the St. Paul’s United Church choir in Mandy Pond., plus we attended many friends parties. She kept in touch with a number of our high school friends. I was fortunate to visit her at her home and meet her husband Tom and her two granddaughters, who she doted on. Agnes will be missed by a host of friends, but will never be forgotten. Rest easy, dear lady…you will shine from afar,
When I look to the heavens, I’ll see you in a star!

Tom, Jason, Jamie and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. For years, Agnes was a cornerstone in the clinic. We were so honoured to have her part of our clinical team.. She knew every patient by name and routinely went above and beyond to serve the patients in the clinic. I fondly remember her coming back to help out in the clinic after she retired because we were in a real bind. During that time, we moved from a paper to an electronic booking system…anyone else would have head for the hills but Agnes stepped up because she didn’t want to let “our” patients down…a true example of her kind, caring and compassionate ways… Agnes, may you rest in Peace knowing the number of lives you touched xox

So sorry to hear of Agnes’ passing. I worked with Agnes at Family Medicine. She was so pleansant and kind. A wonderful co-worker. My condolences to the family.

Tom, Jason, Jamie and Agnes’ extended Family
We were saddened to get the news that our warm and caring Agnes has departed this life to enter a better life of peace and rest. We will always remember., in times past, our many times of getting together when you all lived in St. Anthony. These times were filled with lots of excellent food and sweet goodies prepared by her capable hands with love. Her hearty laughter will always ring within our souls as we reminisce about the many things we shared back then.. When Barry needed a place to stay in St, John’s back in the late 90’s for a while she did not hesitate to offer her home. and for that we will always be grateful.. Although we, Barry and Muriel, had known each other for a few years, it was Agnes who took it in her hands, in a way that only she could have done, to ensure that we became a couple!
During these next days and weeks, during times in which things are different because of pandemic restrictions please know that our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you all.
You all have many precious memories of her that will help to carry you through this difficult time.
We pray that you will be comforted knowing that she is now at rest and peace, free from illness.
We send our hugs and love to each of you.

Barry and Muriel Budgell and Family
