Obituary
Passed away suddenly at home, surrounded by her family and friends, on December 7, 2018, Amanda Renee Miller, age 35.
Predeceased by grandparents Albert and Annie Miller and William and Agnes Penney.
Left with loving memories her parents Curt and Frances, brother Roger (Debbie), sister Sherri-Lynn (Stephen) and brother Kyle, fur babies Rosie, Billie, Kippie, Piper, Sophie and Max, nieces and nephews Nicholas, Jaydon, Lucas, Kal-El and Brooke. Also leaving to mourn her special friends Courtney, Meaghan and Lindsay, as well as aunts uncles, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Jo Ann Donaldson for her care, kindness and friendship to Amanda since her transplant in 1998.
Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, December 9 from 5-9 p.m. and Monday, December 10 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 11 at 2 p.m.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Amanda’s memory may be made to Heavenly Creatures.

I haven’t seen you guys since our mutual friend Bob Gosse passed away and I just found out and I’m at a loss for words and being a parent myself and going through a rough time myself lately it puts things in perspective and my problems pale in comparison to what you guys are going through I lost my dad around Christmas time which makes it hard sometimes but If you ever want to chat or anything else just know I’m here and I’m very sorry for your loss you guys are very special people and have always been there for everyone else

Dear Curt and Frances, so shocked to hear from JoAnn yesterday about Amanda’s passing. I will always remember the courage of a young 15year old girl going through her transplant and the love and devotion the two of you surrounded her with. When we were friends in high school, I didn’t appreciate how amazingly strong she must have been at that time. She was just a really great, fun person. Now that I’m a physician, I have more insight into the struggles that she must have faced, and she clearly faced them head on with fearlessness. Amanda, you were one of the strongest, most badass people I’ve ever had the pleasure knowing. xo
