Your lovely mother was a good friend of our mother, Mary Perry, and we often enjoyed Nita’s company at summer parties, which usually saw the cards come out and the ladies got serious! May she rest in peace. Christina, Susan and Sheena

Heather and family, I was sorry to hear about you mom’s passing. I can still see her in her bright white kitchen on Hatcher Street. My best to you during this challenging time. Anne Marie Downey (Stowe)

Heather, Wayne, Jim and Families,

I can’t begin to say how sorry I am about dear Aunt Anita’s passing. We spent a lot of time together and I will surely miss her. I loved her like my mother. We had a good many meals and bingo games together, and plenty of laughs. She will remain forever in my heart. Condolences to you all.

Heather, sincere condolences on the loss of your mother

Heather and family,
I’m so sad to hear the news of your mothers passing she was a very lovely lady, Every night at work I looked forward to our nightly chats and every time I walked into her room she would always have hockey on and would update me about it. She was such a kind and gentle soul. I will miss her.

So sorry to hear about Anita’s passing. She was a great lady never saw her upset, great positive attitude-a true Newfoundlander I never realized the sacrifices she made by taking in a 19 yr old MUN student still wet behind the ears. Great sense of humor, fantastic memory. Anita asked me years later how did you pick our house? I said Fox was mowing the lawn when i walked by and I asked him. if he had a place for a boarder? She said “sweet mother of god” it must have been the only time he mowed the lawn. For over 60 years Anita called me every June forth and sang happy birth day to me. I am crying as I write this-I will really miss you Anita

To the Fox family especially Heather:

Jim,

When a dear family member dies, it brings sadness into our lives. Your mom had a long and wonderful life and didn’t have to suffer years of illness. Something we all hope for as we approach life’s end. What a blessing.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Nita.’s passing. I have many happy memories of your summer visits to Carbonear. She was my favourite aunt. Last summer I visited her while Chris was playing ball at Lions Park. I spent a couple of hours with her, she was really glad I dropped by. Wayne and I couldn’t come to the funeral home or service because I am still working but we will be thinking of you tomorrow
