Dear Ted, Beth and family,
I am so terribly sorry about Jean’s passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting her personally. I did, however, enjoy the many conversations Beth had with her grandma on the speaker phone as we were knitting together in Regina. I was always amused by Jean’s sense of humour and directness. I loved how Beth’s Newfoundland accent became stronger as her conversation with grandma continued. I know that Jean was well loved by her family and will be dearly missed by many. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and send lots of love and strength. – Heike

To the Riggs Family,
Terribly sorry to learn of your mother’s death. I did not know her well, but the few times I was in her company I could tell she was a live wire who spoke her mind and I enjoyed her witty commentary on life. My deepest sympathy to you all.

The Riggs Family

Thinking of you at this difficult time, your Mom was a very good friend to our Mom and Dad ( Mary and Gordon Stamp) at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home. Our family especially appreciated your Mom being a guardian angel to Mom, after Dad had passed. We have one of your Mom’s beautiful paintings in our home and we will always treasure her in our memories.
Deepest sympathies,
Rick and Clare Stamp

Very sorry to hear this news today.

Mrs. Riggs attended many of my painting classes at Kenny’s pond over the years. She was a very kind lady and we shared many laughs. I have 2 of her paintings hanging in my studio, she would often tell her classmates this, as she was proud that I had her work on display.

She would often speak of her family. I am sure you have many fond memories which will always make you smile.

Deepest sympathies

Beth and family,
So sorry to hear of your Grandma’s passing.
She was so kind, warm and welcoming. Jean always treated me as if I was a member of the family. I loved to hear her stories about visiting Grand Bank with your Grandpa, and about you as a little girl.
I will forever cherish the memories of Jean, Lois, you and I having lunch together. I will also never forget our adventure to the movie theatre together. She brought so much light and laughter to everyone at the movies that day with her genuine heart.
I know how important your Grandma was to you, and am sending you and your family all my love at this time.

Thinking of you Beth and your family as you mourn the loss of your dear grandmother Audrey. Grandmothers are so very special and I know that you shared a very precious bond with each other. May your grandmother Audrey’s strength, life stories and her love continue to guide you and your family in the days ahead. And, may you know that her deep love for you holds you throughout your life’s changes, sorrows and joys.

Many Blessings,
Brenda, Karl and Ben Valiaho
