Paul, Sherry and Cathy – Judi & I were so saddened to hear of Uncle Basil’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It was only a few weeks ago that your Dad and I were sharing car stories and he appeared to be doing so well. You never know from one day to the next what life has in store. Cherish the memories!

We hold many happy memories of Basil and Laura Trickett while living on Minerals Road, Long Pond. Particularly at Halloween, where Mrs. Trickett delighted my children with her costumes and enthusiasm for the holiday. She’d call, “Basil, Basil, the little ones are here!” And out to the door he’d come with a huge smile – in his smokers jacket – like a scene from a classic movie. What lovely people! What good times! Our thoughts are with you all.

Paul,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. When I read in his obituary….”his sense of humour and ability to put a smile on anyone’s face will be unforgettable”…..I thought to myself, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as you are much like you father in that regard. I know you will miss him dearly. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sorrowful time.
