So sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Lockyer for a teacher in high school, and while he could be strict at times, he was one of my favourites. He made me want to work hard. My condolences to the family.

Our wishes of sympathy and compassion to the extended family of Cyril Lockyer. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, a dedicated father, a passionate teacher, and a great friend. He will be remembered for continuous home improvements, his vivid stories, and his zest for life in general. I, and many others, shall remember him for happily hosting the Sunnyside Open Chess Tournament. Rest in Peace ‘Joe’.

C.S Lewis remarked that grief can often feel like fear. Take comfort. “Do not be discourage, for the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go “. Joshua 1:9
